I had the opportunity to knit a short sleeves cardigan following my own ideas and this is what it came out from the needles!
I chose my “year color”, fuxia, of the EG mix by Kauni Effektgarn and I juxtaposed it to a violet mohair to soften up everything, at both optical and tactile level (Kauni has in fact really beautiful colors but it is a very rough wool). 4 mm needles and improvisation!
Edges and cowl are knitted in gather stitch, the body in stockinette stitch. Instead of the usual armholes I moved the knitting toward right and left with a simple trick of increases and decreases and then I picked up the stitches to knit short sleeves, in gather stitch as well.
Colors shows themselves perfectly. I adore to knit with Kauni because even if the garment is easy, this yarn surprise at every row with its shades. Loving it!
