Clara a righe! - Striped Clara

Modello: Clara Vest di Denise Ann (l’ho scaricato gratuitamente da Ravelry).

Filati: 3 gomitoli di Noro Kureyon (100% lana, 50 gr = 100 mt, colore 240 D) e 3,6 gomitoli di Heirloom Easy Care 8 ply (100% lana, 50 gr = 98 mt, colore 765 nero).

Ferri: 4,5 mm Knit Pro.

Ho scelto questo modello perché volevo provare a fare qualcosa con la tecnica dei ferri accorciati e siccome trovavo lo schema piuttosto ripetitivo con il suo monotono susseguirsi di ferri a diritto, ho pensato di rallegrare la situazione usando uno dei miei filati preferiti: la bellissima e coloratissima Noro. Ho così alternato le sfumature della Kuyeron con un filato “neutro” nero e il risultato mi soddisfa.

Ho trovato interessante e creativo il modello di Denise, ma come al solito non ho resistito e ho aggiunto qualche dettaglio personale. Al momento di lavorare le spalle ho montato un numero extra di maglie per le maniche e una volta terminato il cardigan ho ripreso le maglie lungo i bordi e lavorato qualche altro ferro a legaccio visto che, a causa delle righe, il lavoro risultava non proprio perfetto. Ho infine aggiunto qualche bottone in più per avere un capo leggermente più caldo ed avvolgente. E questo quello che è venuto fuori!

I have chosen this pattern because I wanted to knit something with the short rows technique and as the pattern was rather repetitive, with its monotonous succession of knitted rows, I thought to brighten the situation up by using one of my favorite yarns: the beautiful and colorful Noro. So I alternate Kureyon’s shades with a “neutral” black yarn and I like the result.

I found interesting and creative Denise’s pattern, but as usual I didn’t resist to the temptation of adding few personal detail. When I had to knit the shoulders I casted on some extra stitches to create the sleeves and once the cardigan was finished I picked up the stitches along the edges and knitted few more rows in garter stitch as the job resulted imperfect because of the stripes. I then added few buttons to have a more enveloping and warm item. And this is it!
