Evilla!

Ennesimo Mea Shawl, il terzo per la precisione. Questa volta ho scelto l'Evilla Preyarn (115 gr = 600 mt, 100% lana, colore A57), un filato-non filato che si rompe solo a guardarlo e che per lavorarlo è necessario avere una mano molto morbida e lenta.

Dopo qualche campione, ho scelto di usare i ferri da 5 mm e ho dato il via al mio primo lavoro con questo tipo di filo. Ovviamente non sono una strega e quindi ogni tanto si è rotto, ma basta davvero un po' di saliva per rimettere insieme i capi e proseguire. Da come ne hanno parlato su altri siti, pensavo che sferruzzare con l'Evilla fosse molto più difficile, l'importante è rilassarsi e non farsi prendere dal nervoso, poi tutto scorre liscio come al solito.

Ho usato circa 50 dei 115 gr della “pizza” e le sfumature si sono rivelate davvero belle: polverose e soffuse. Mi è proprio piaciuta questa Evilla!

Another Mea Shawl, the third one. This time I chose Evilla Preyarn (115 gr = 600 mt, 100% wool, color A57), a very delicate unspun-yarn to be knitted with gentleness.

After few samples, I decided to use 5 mm needles and I began my first item with this kind of yarn. Obviously I'm not a witch so sometimes the yarn broke down, but it is sufficient a spit to assemble the two strands together and go on. From what I read in others web-sites, I thought knitting with  Evilla was harder, the important is to relax and leave out of the room the nervous, then everything goes easily like usually.

I used at about 50 of the 115 gr of the “pizza” and the nuances are really beautiful: dusty and soft. I really liked this Evilla!

Ponch-mallow

Ponch-mallow è un poncho con maniche che ho realizzato per una bambina di 8 anni. Se volete farlo un po' più grande o un po' più piccolo basta aumentare o diminuire il numero dei giri 1-2 del busto e il gioco è fatto! Spero vi piaccia! =)

Italiano

Materiale

- 4 gomitoli di Rugantino di Sandilane, 100 gr = 88 mt, 65% lana, 30% dralon, 5% alpaca (1 gomitolo colore 66, 1 gomitolo colore 70 e 2 gomitoli colore 50). Se volete fare il poncho un po' più lungo comprate altri gomitoli.

- ferri circolari da 8 mm

- 6 marcapunti di colori diversi (es. 1 rosso, 1 blu e 4 gialli)

- ago da lana

Collo

Avviare 44 m, mettere un marcapunti (mp) A, unire in tondo lavorando [1 dir, 1 rov] fino alla fine del giro.

2 giro: [1 rov, 1 dir] fino alla fine del giro.

3 giro: come il primo (i giri 1 e 2 corrispondono al punto “chicco di riso semplice”).

Dal 4 giro in poi lavorare tutto a dir per 12 giri. 

Busto

Dividere il lavoro come segue:

1 giro: passa mp A, *1 dir, 1 gett, 6 dir, 2 ins a dir rit, 1 gett, 1 dir, mp B, 1 dir, 2 gett, 1 dir, mp C, 1 dir, 1 gett, 2 ins a dir, 6 dir, 1 gett, 1 dir*, mp D, ripetere da * a * mettendo i mp E, F.

NOTA: I mp A e D sono quelli relativi al centro del poncho, gli altri quelli delle maniche.

2 giro: tutto a dir (lavorare i gett a dir).

Ripetere i giri 1 e 2 fino alla lunghezza desiderata finendo con il giro 1 (io ho fatto 42 giri, 21 di ognuno). Ovviamente il numero dei dir in grassetto aumenterà a ogni giro dispari, via via che si fanno i gettati, quindi 7, 8 e così via.

Lavorare 2 giri a chicco di riso semplice (come per il collo) e chiudere le m in pattern al giro 3 lavorando e lasciando sul ferro le 18 m centrali delle 44 m delle maniche.

Maniche

Per le maniche, chiudere le m in tondo e lavorare a punto chicco di riso semplice per 28 giri, chiudere le maglie.

Rimettere i fili e bloccare il capo con un colpo di ferro e vapore.

Potete mettere anche delle frange, io le ho sistemate ogni 3 m.

Ponch-mallow is a little poncho with sleeves that I knitted for a 8 years old girl. If you want to knit a bigger or a smaller one it is enough increase or decrease the number of the rounds 1 and 2 of the body and that's it! I hope you like it! =)

Material

- 4 balls of Rugantino by Sandilane, 100 gr = 88 mt, 65% wool, 30% dralon, 5% alpaca (1 ball colour 66, 1 ball colour 70 e 2 balls colour 50). If you want a longer poncho buy more yarn!

- 8 mm circular needles

- 6 stitch markers (ex: 1 red, 1 blue and 4 yellow)

- sew needle

Neck

Cast on 44 sts, place marker (mp) A, join in round, working [k1, p1] til the end of the round.

Round 2: [p1, k1] til the end.

Round 3: like round 1.

From round 4 knit for 12 rounds.

Body

Round 1: slip mp A, *k1, YO, k6, k2tog, YO, k1, pm B, k1, 2 YO, k1, pm C, k1, YO, k2tog, k6, YO, k1*, mp D, repeat from * to * placing markers E and F.

Note: Stitch markers A and D show the centre, the others the sleeves (4 yellow).

Round 2: knit

Repeat rounds 1 and 2 to the desired length ending with round 1 (I knitted 42 round, 21 each). Obviously the number of k in bold increase every 1 round with the Yos.

Round 1 [k1, p1].

Round 2 [p1, k1].

Round 3: bind off loosely working the sts in pattern [k1, p1], leaving on the needle 18 central sts of the 44 sleeves sts.

Sleeves

Join the yarn and join in the round working 28 rounds in pattern:

round 1: [k1, p1]

round 2: [p1, k1]

Bind off loosely all the sts in pattern.

You can add fringes if you want, I added them every 4th stitch.

Block the poncho and enjoy!

Cammello/Camel

Volevo usare dei gomitoli di Ecological Camel della Schachenmayer Nomotta (85% Lana vergine, 15% Pelo di cammello, 50 gr = 80 mt), che avevo comprato al mercato l'anno scorso e che erano nella loro scatola già da troppo tempo. Non li avevo mai presi in considerazione perché sono ognuno di un colore diverso, sebbene in sfumatura e non ho mai trovato niente che mi sembrasse adatto.

Il filato è abbastanza grosso e così, alla fine, ho deciso di sferruzzare il Caponcho di Emma Fassio (tanto per cambiare designer!) e armata di ferri circolari da 7 mm ho dato il via al lavoro, aggiungendo un nuovo gomitolo e quindi un nuovo colore via via che il precedente finiva.

Il modello è molto semplice ma d'effetto, forse è per questo che i pattern di Emma sono così soddisfacenti!

Per quando riguarda il filato, è bello e morbido, più adatto per questo di tipo di lavori, tipo ponchos, sciarpe, cappelli, che non per maglioni (secondo me sarebbero troppo “ingombranti”). I colori sono caldi e si adattano bene alla stagione, una variazione ai soliti grigi.

I decided to use some balls of Ecological Camel by Schachenmayer Nomotta (85% New Wool, 15% Camel hair, 50 gr = 80 mt)bought last year at the market: they were in their box since too many time. I didn't use them yet because every ball is of a different color and even if they are in shade I never found a suitable project.

The yarn is thick so I decided to knit the Emma Fassio's Caponcho and with 7 mm circular needles I began the item, adding a new ball and a new color as the previous was finished.

The pattern is very easy and snappy, probably that's why Emma's patterns are so satisfactory!

The yarn is beautiful and soft, perfect to knit outdoor garments like ponchos, scarfs, hats, better than pullover (I think they will be too bulky). Colors are warm and they are perfect for the autumn, a good variation to gray!
